Boots on the Ground for Heroes Memorial

Claflin volunteers help set up Boots on the Ground for Heroes Memorial at Roger Williams Park by the Temple of Music for Operation Stand Down RI. The living memorial is a tradition that started in 2016 and it honors the service and sacrifice of all U.S service members killed in action post 9/11 – during the Global War on Terror. There were approximately 7,000 boots placed with American flags and name place cards depicting the lives of the fallen soldiers. Claflin is thankful for being part of this amazing event.
