My organization, Claflin Company, has a 200-year-rich history in Rhode Island. Established as the Joseph Balch Company in Providence in 1817, it evolved to J.B. & Son until 1873, when George L. and Arthur W. Claflin acquired it and dubbed it the George L. Claflin Company. The family grew it to become one of the leading apothecaries and retail druggists in all of New England. But that was just the beginning.
The Claflin Pulldogs were back at it again this year pulling for MS! The team, headed by Sally Parente, raised a total of $1,500.00 for the National MS Society making us one of the top participants.
The annual Claflin Strategic Sales Meeting was held in beautiful Newport, R.I. this August. In 2018 we recognize Lisa Golia as Employee of the Year for her outstanding dedication to the company while always remaining so cheerful. We want to thank everyone who attended for participating in our breakout sessions as well as your company at all the breakfast, lunch and dinner tables.
Today we participated in the Rally Against Cancer fundraising event that directly supports Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

With the approach of Hurricane Florence, our Manufacturing Division in Virginia is actively working to address the safety of our business partners and team members while striving to meet the needs of our customers.
