Michael Oliver, CIO of The Claflin Company and CME of Warwick RI, has been appointed to the Health Information Exchange Advisory Commission by Gina Raimondo, Governor of the State of Rhode Island. Mr. Oliver has been selected for his experience in operations, maintenance, and security of complex electronic databases. In his role, Mr. Oliver will be advising the RI Department of Health.
Michael Oliver has served on a number of important Industry task forces or groups advising leaders and regulators on evolving issues such as the FDA’s Unique Device Identifier or UDI initiative, and the advancement of Electronic Data Interchange or EDI. He has represented Claflin at organizations such as the Global Healthcare Exchange or GHX, AHRMM, the AHA association of Resource Managers, and the Trade Group HIDA, the Health Industry Distributors Association. He has spoken or presented at a number of industry meetings on timely topics of interest in the field of technology.
